This title is actually a composite map, covering most of sheet 81.11, which includes the old village of Hartley, with coverage westward to Seaton Burn and Hartley West Farm; and all of sheet 81.12, which includes Curry's Point and the ever popular St Mary's Island, sometimes called Bait Island. On the reverse we extend coverage further south along the coast, towards Whitley Sands, and features include Hartkley South Farm, Culvert Inn and Prudhoe Memorial Convalescent Home, then standing in splendid isolation.

The map links up with Sheet 81.07 Seaton Sluice to the north, 89.04 Cullercoats & Whitley to the south.

This detailed map covers the West Moor area of Killingworth, with coverage stretching from Forest Hall station northward to Killingworth station on the East Coast main line. Further west, part of Gosforth racecourse is shown, plus much of Gosforth Lake. Other features include the disused West Moor Pit, Long Row, Cross Row, Crank Row, High Row, Quality Row, Killingworth Wagonway. Forest Hall station is in the bottom right corner. On the reverse we include a directory of Killingworth, plus the race cards for Gosforth Park in 1893.

This detailed map has extra value for the 1920 map is included on the reverse, showing how the area developed across the years. The main map covers the once important port of Seaton Sluice, with its famous man-made cut into the harbour. The village is small and features include Seaton Burn, Rocky Island, Seraton lodge, Lookout Farm, Mausoleum, Hasting's Pit and Astley Arms Inn. On the reverse we include the 1920 map, on slightly different sheetlines, and this covers Seaton Sluice itself, including Rocky Island, King's Arms Inn, Waterford Arms Hotel, Seaton Lodge. However, this map extends further south and includes Collywell Bay, Hartley village, the NER Collywell Bay Branch, amd ropute of old wagonway.

The map links up with Sheet 81.06 New Hartley to the west, 81.12 Hartley to the south.
