Kelly’s Directory of Norfolk 1908

Kelly’s Directory of Norfolk 1908

Ref: NFK1908KE

(Supplied on a CD) The size of the directory means that it is published as a two CD set. The first CD contains Indexes; The Norwich section of the main directory; Private Residents Directory; Trades & Professional Directory and Advertisements. The second CD contains the balance of the main directory of towns and villages.
When we obtained the book we knew that, as with so many of these directories, the map was missing. Whilst scanning we also found that the sheet containing pages 783/784 was missing from the Trades section. The last entry on page 782 is a Provision Merchant named Coulson and the first on page 785 is for the Bull public house in Norwich. In addition, we discovered that the advert pages 65/66, 69/70 and 77-80 had been torn out. However, the CDs still contain almost 900 pages covering the whole of the county of Norfolk in 1908.

Some of the scanned images appear not to be straight. This is a feature of the original book rather than the scanning process.
