Kelly's Directory of Oxford, Abingdon, Woodstock & District, 1928

Kelly's Directory of Oxford, Abingdon, Woodstock & District, 1928

Ref: OXF1928KE

(Supplied on a CD) The copy of the directory used for scanning is disbound and has obviously had a hard life with some damage and dirty marks to some pages. Also, as with many of these directories, the map is missing. However, none of the damage makes any page illegible and all 779 scanned pages (plus cover) are easily readable. Apart from the map, the directory is complete and comprises: Oxford History, Churches, Buildings, Institutions &c; University & Colleges; Public Educational Establishments; Local Government, Postal Information, Organisations &c; Street directory; Private residents (alphabetical list of); Commercial directory (alphabetical list); Neighbourhood directory; Professional and trades directory.
Includes: Abingdon; Begbroke; Binsey; Boars Hill; Botley; Cowley; Culham; Cumnor; Cutteslowe; Elsfield; Forest Hill with Shotover; Foxcombe Hill; Gosford; Headington; Highfield; North or Ferry Hinksey; South Hinksey; Horspath; Iffley; Kennington; Kidlington; Littlemore; Marston; Middle, Temple & Church Cowley; Old Botley; Radley; Sandford-on-Thames; Sunningwell; Thrupp; Water Eaton; Wolvercote; Wood Eaton; Woodstock; Wootton; Yarnton

Some of the scanned pages appear not to be straight. This is a feature of skew printing in the original book rather than the scanning process.

8/10    The product was exactly as advertised, it was just unfortunate that it didn't include the relatives I was seeking!  (21/09/2016) Mrs S A Brett -
