How we charge for postage
UK Deliveries
Our maximum charge is £2.95 for any size of Royal Mail order.

As a result of the new pricing in proportion rates from Royal mail we are now able to mail very light items at lower rates of postage. Items that fall into the lower rate bands are indicated in the online catalogue.

Postage band 'A' - 60p
Postage band 'B' - £1.00
Postage band 'C' - £2.95
Postage band 'D' - £2.95

Most orders are delivered by Royal Mail - First Class letter post or Parcel Post including insurance. Usually software will come to you by First Class letter post and orders containing heavy books and archive storage products will be sent by parcel post.

We don't include postage in our prices because if you ordered two items from us, then you would end up paying postage twice. It costs us very little extra postage to add extra items in a package. We think this is fair to all our customers whether they buy one item or many.

If you place your order today (Mon - Fri) before 4.00pm you may well receive it tomorrow morning.

Postage StrikesThe majority of our packages are sent out to you by Royal Mail (RM) due to their weight being less than one kilogram. At the moment RM appear to be the only organisation that actually deliver these lightweight packages to your door, therefore we are unable to turn to any other company to get our delivery to you at our usual postage rates. During the strike we urge you to carry on ordering and we will do our best to keep sending out parcels on the days when RM is not striking. In an effort to keep up deliveries we have introduced two new despatch options at the checkout on our website. The first is a national carrier 48 hour delivery service and the second is the ‘Royal Mail Special Delivery’ service which RM say they will prioritise during strike periods. However these services are more expensive than our usual delivery rates therefore you may prefer to just order well in advance and be a little more patient than usual with the postal service.

Exports
We think the fairest way to charge export postage is to charge according to where you are in the world and not charge you the UK VAT (purchase tax) if you are outside the EU (European Community). In many cases this means you will pay a little less than UK customers and in a few cases this may mean you pay a little more.

If you purchase more than one item the postage rate is reduced on the second item and reduced again on the third item.

We have abandoned using Seamail post as it takes so long and does not save much money when compared to Airmail rates.

Guide to Airmail rates
Australia, Canada, New Zealand & USA
1 item - £6, 2 items - £11, 3 items - £15.00, 4 items or more will incur a £3 charge per item.

Europe
1 item - £4, 2 items - £7, 3 items - £9, 4 items or more will incur a £2 charge per item.

For estimates of delivery rates to other countries select your items and proceed to the check out to view postage amount. You will not be obliged to order.
To get some idea of what you might be charged for on our more popular products we have calculated some guide prices including Airmail postage in your local currency.
