Bacon’s Large Scale Plan of Blackburn Circa 1933

Bacon’s Large Scale Plan of Blackburn Circa 1933

Ref: LAN1933MAP

(Supplied on a CD) The original map (printed at a scale of 6 inches to the mile) bears no date but is estimated to be about 1933 because it shows the Workhouse as the Poor Law Institution (ceased to be called the Workhouse in 1929) and shows the Audley section of the tramway (which closed in February 1935). It covers the whole of the County & Parliamentary Borough of the time - from Mellor and Witton Park in the west to Rishton Reservoir in the east and from Ramsgreave Hall in the north to Moss Bridge in the south. In addition to the map the CD contains a complete street index as included in the original publication.
