Create a Book from your Gedcom file

Have you always wanted to turn your research into a book, but were unsure of where to start? We can now produce a .pdf copy of your book using your gedcom file . Simply send us your gedcom file and we will compile the book for you in pdf format ready for printing. The book will include a front cover page and contents page, please note any amendments due to data entry errors in your file will incur extra charges. Not sure how to create a gedcom file, contact our printing and publishing team on charts@my-history.co.uk Once you have the .pdf book you can either print it at home and bind in one of our lovely springback binders, which can be gold foiled see Springback binders or alternatively why not have us print and bind it here for you in either our hard or soft back books see bound books If you chose to come back to us for printing please contact the printing and publishing team at charts@my-history.co.uk quoting your unique book job reference number for a one of discount for that service.

Place the order and then send the gedcom file to us at charts@my-history.co.uk clearly stating who the root of the book should be. Please note only the roots blood relatives will show in the book, not their spouses or married in relatives. If you require a book for both you and your spouse, then you need to order two books one based on each of you as the root.
If your file is less than 10MB then please just email it to us. However if your file is larger than 10mb then you may upload it to our website using our upload service.

8/10 A very useful way of producing book I found this service very good for producing a basic book using my existing FTM file. I had problems downloading my FTM file to the My-History web site but Sharon was excellent and talked me through the process. Book is pdf so not able to edit it directly from downloaded book. 8/10 Brilliant Too many pages from my tree to get book published & bound but have printed off the pages myself & pleased with the result One or two errors but I think mostly my own although an odd word comes in the story part that doesn't fit I can add extra text, draw & highlight but cant edit existing pdf text (05/04/2023) Helen - Scunthorpe
Our Reply: Dear Helen we can certainly edit for you, or you could use adobe and edit there as we haven't%20password%20protected%20the%20document.%20%20Alternatively%20you%20can%20save%20the%20.pdf to a word document to edit :)
