As with many copies of this book, the one we obtained had been disbound to remove the plates (except frontis map) for selling separately. This also resulted in the loss of the London & Irish sections and parts of the Hertfordshire & Middlesex descriptions.
The size of the book means that we have had to publish it over two CDs. Where a new chapter starts part way down a page the scanned image has been split into two. The original image is also on the disk if required for printing. All in all, some 442 folio size pages of Historical, Descriptive and Biographical surveys of the counties of England plus Wales, Scotland & the British Isles. Of great interest to anyone interested in British history or topography.

The contents of CD 1 are: The map, Preliminary Observations on England and the counties of Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Essex, Suffolk, Derby, Stafford, Shropshire, Hereford, Monmouth, Worcester, Leicester, Warwick, Rutland, Huntingdon, Northampton, Cambridge, Bedford, Buckingham, Oxford & Hertford (part).

The contents of CD 2 are: The counties of Middlesex (part), Hants, Berks, Wilts, Gloucester, Dorset, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, Norfolk, Lincoln, Nottingham, York, Durham, Northumberland, Cumberland, Westmoreland, Lancaster, Cheshire plus Wales, Scotland and the British Isles (Wight, Channel Islands, Man, Orkney & Shetland, Hebrides).
